You can now watch some of the behind-the-scenes footage of EA’s Battlefront II

At the end of the Battlefront II reveal panel at Star Wars Celebration, those who attended got to watch short trailer featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the game.

The actual trailer—which was several minutes long—is still exclusive to those who attended Celebration. However, EA shared about 30 seconds of B-roll footage that can now be seen by the general public.

I’ve embedded Elliot from BattlefrontUpdates’ video down below. Elliot also goes over some of the recently revealed concept art:

The two big highlights for me are:

  • We see a very early version of the game’s UI. It shows off three slots by where Star Cards live in the first game on the right hand side of the screen (likely the area for abilities). Interestingly, the place where Charge Cards occupies in the current Battlefront is empty, possibly indicating that the concept won’t return (although I’m merely speculating there).
  • A location “Pillio Base” is also named. We don’t know which planet this is on or which faction the base is for. However, in the reveal panel, content producer Paola Joyaux hinted that there’ll be more new locations beyond Vardos in the campaign. So perhaps it is set on an entirely new planet.

EA invited me to Celebration, so I got to watch the entire behind-the-scenes trailer. There were definitely some neat moments, such as watching Iden Versio’s backpack droid shock a Rebel trooper and some cool concept art of what I think was related to Pillio Base. However, nothing too revealing was shown off.
