Modder works to bring Rogue One: Scarif to Battlefront II

It looks like you may be able to experience the planet Scarif in Battlefront II soon enough.

Crafted by Gogie from the Gametoast forums, a Battlefront II mod incorporating elements from Rogue One is currently in the works.

The highlight of the mod is the Scarif: Imperial Landing Zone map. According to Gogie, this map is “intended to be an air to ground type of map” and is “divided into four islands connected by land / metal bridges.”

Zeta Class Shuttles are placed on each island and will act as “destroyable command posts”.

Gogie hopes for the map to be a beta of a “much larger planned project.”

Besides the map, the mod features pilotable UT-60D U-wings for the Rebellion. The Imperials will get the TIE Reaper, although no work on that ship has been shown off yet.

There will also be several variants of the Imperial shoretrooper, including a Squad Leader outfit and Captain outfit. The various class for each faction will also see a rework.

As for the map’s heroes, the developer remains undecided. Gogie has considered incorporating Director Krennic and Jyn Erso, although the death trooper DT-5537 and Baze Malbus are also under consideration.

Impressively, the project’s models are being hand-crafted.

No dates have been set for this mod’s release, but I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on this one! This is a very promising mod and I’m certainly keen to try out a Scarif setting in Battlefront II.
