This 16-bit Rogue One fan-film is pretty awesome [Spoilers]

16 bit Rogue One with Darth Vader.

WARNING: Rogue One spoilers ahead!

Besides an expansion in Battlefront, Rogue One doesn’t actually have a full-on video game.

Thanks to Mr Sunday Movies, however, the movie seems like it would make a great 16-bit video game. Their one-minute video, which was posted on YouTube earlier today, is a recreation of Rogue One’s final sequence where Darth Vader slices down numerous Rebels. The 16-bit version of Tantive IV is also quite cool to see.

While video tie-ins for movies don’t always fair well (E.T. anyone?), I could see elements of Rogue One working together nicely for a video game. Or heck, even just a Darth Vader game in a similar retro style would be awesome. One can never slice down too many Rebels!
