The hype for December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story continues to build.

Starting November 10, ILMxLab’s Rogue One: Recon 360 Experience will be available to try out for free at select Verizon Wireless stores.

For those that can’t make it to a Verizon store, the experience will launch on Facebook 360 on November 14. It will also come to YouTube 360 on November 15.

The experience was announced earlier today on The Star Wars Show.

The Star Wars Show co-host Peter Townley called it a “short, immersive 360 experience connected to the events that unfold in Rogue One.”

“[The experience] puts you in the helmet of an X-Wing Pilot flying for the Rebellion, culminating in an epic space battle against the Empire,” added co-host Andi Gutierrez.

Interestingly, based on the above image, the experience seems set before the Death Star received its superlaser dish. The addition of the dish is apparently an event in Rogue One; its construction is visible in the movie’s teaser trailer.

This experience should not be confused with the PSVR-exclusive Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission. That experience will be available only to those with access to a PS4, a PSVR headset and a copy of Battlefront. The Recon 360 Experience, however, appears to center around mobile devices.

The Star Wars Show revealed several promo pictures, including the feature image up top. The two other images are show below:
