Beta version of the Scarif map mod for Pandemic’s Battlefront II released

Zeta Class Shuttle from a Rogue One Scarif Battlefront II mod.

If you’ve been wanting to play more Scarif on the original Battlefront II, you don’t have to wait any longer.

That’s because mod developer Gogie (a.k.a. D.Onizaki) released an open map test of their Scarif map pack for Pandemic’s Battlefront II. I previously covered this mod back in February and again in March when it entered the alpha stage.

The map pack features two Scarif maps: Imperial Landing Zone and Imperial Cargo Zone. The second map is actually new since March’s alpha. To download the 1.2 GB mod, head on over to Moddb.

Note that this is an open beta for the mod. As such, bugs and other issues are to be expected. If you notice problems, head on over to the mod’s Gametoast forum thread.

I’ve quickly tried the mod out and it’s definitely fun. I especially enjoyed the Walker Assault mode on the Imperial Cargo Zone map. The AT-ACTs were rather nice touches. It’s also interesting to see a mode from EA’s Battlefront ported over to Pandemic’s Battlefront II.

I also played as Director Krennic for a bit and he was an interesting hero, although I think I need to recheck my key bindings because something was definitely off!

Anyways, just wanted to share that the beta for this mod is now out! And a new map to boot!
