Battlefront II 360-degree mo-cap video takes you behind the scenes (Update 2: Video up again)

Iden Versio in Battlefront II.

Update April 26, 11:52 a.m. PT: The video has been re-uploaded. Note that the 360-degree functionality has seemingly been removed (at least for me), which creates a sort of fish-bowl look.

Besides that removal, the only change I noticed is the addition of an opening title card. The title card does note the motion capture session took place in Los Angeles, which is new I guess.

I’ve updated the embed below, but here’s the direct link.

Update 11:45 a.m. PT: It appears that the EA Star Wars Facebook account has deleted the video for some reason. I’ll be sure to update this post should the video reappear on their page.

Original article is below:

A video posted by the official EA Star Wars Facebook account gives a 360-degree look at how some of the motion capture went down for Battlefront II.

The video provides us with a different take on the motion capture stuff that’s already been shared. We get to see Janina Gavankar, who plays the campaign’s protagonist Iden Versio, act out several scenarios, including firing a weapon, dodging an object and talking to someone who is presumably her Imperial admiral father.

At a cursory glance, I couldn’t spot anything really new and noteworthy. However, I figured it was still worth sharing as these 360-degree videos are always fun. I’ll also be curious if any one else might be able to find some hidden clues!

As announced last week, the campaign’s cast includes Gavanker, Paul BlackthorneTJ Ramini and Matthew Mercer. Gavankar and Blackthorne both have been confirmed to be a part of Inferno Squad, the elite Imperial unit that’s the focus of the campaign. Ramini and Mercer’s roles are still unknown.
