Galaxy of Heroes’ upcoming Ships feature previewed

Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars.

Ships are set to fly into the mobile game Galaxy of Heroes in the near future.

Community manager Jesse Anderson wrote that this “feature offers an exciting new mode of gameplay, with new rewards, new activities, new things to collect, new goals to pursue, new strategies to craft and more!”

One portion of this new feature includes Fleet Commanders, which Anderson recently previewed on the game’s official forums.

Fleet Commanders crew special capital ships and each will have unique abilities for use in space battles. The Fleet Commander will lead a fleet of up to five ships in play and four reserve ships.

Three Fleet Commanders will launch alongside Ships:

  • Admiral Ackbar
  • Grand Moff Tarkin
  • Mace Windu

Note that additional Fleet Commanders will arrive in future updates. I will add that Mace Windu is an interesting choice for a Fleet Commander. I guess they’re playing off his General status from The Clone Wars.

According to the preview, “Fleet Commanders will have a set of unique abilities that can affect an entire fleet battle either with buffs, de-buffs, or a variety of dramatic attacks.”

Fleet Commanders can also call in reinforcement ships to aid in battle. This allows a reserve ship to replace a defeated ship and immediately take their turn.

Capital Games has yet to set a specific date for the addition of Ships, but I’ll be keeping an eye out.

Additionally, Daylight Savings Time (which ends in some regions this weekend, and next weekend in the United States) is not observed by Galaxy of Heroes. That means some events may appear to be starting earlier than normal.

Okay this was great on the first 5 minutes but went down hill after that. It is impossible to build your ship spending money after the first initial implement ion unless you purchase the stuff you need for blueprints. Just like squad arena you cannot upgrade or win and upgrade unless you purchase the needed crystals to win. Although I have 3k more power, o cannot win any battles why is that. It is so frustrating.
