Battlefront to be added to the EA Access Vault by year’s end (Updated)

EA announced today that Battlefront will enter the EA Access Vault by the end of the year.

This announcement from EA came in a press release. It was also revealed that six PopCap games, UFC 2 and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will join Battlefront.

EA Access is an Xbox One-exclusive subscription service that allows users to play select EA games. Some games also give early access; EA Access members additionally save 10% on EA digital purchases from the Xbox One Games Store. The subscription costs $4.99 a month.

There is a also a PC-variant called Origin Access which does the same thing. I assume Battlefront will be available there as well.

Not too surprising to see that Battlefront will make it in as the game has been out nearly a year. I’m not sure how many people actually use EA Access, but hopefully once it’s added to the vault, we might see a bump in the player count for Battlefront.

Update 2:20 p.m. PT: The official EA Origin Access page confirmed that Battlefront is indeed coming to Origin Access on PC. (H/T u/Blmlozz on Reddit)
