Mobile game Star Wars: Uprising has been pulled from app stores and will officially shut down on November 17 at 9 a.m. PT.

Kabam developed Uprising and the game followed a similar format to the studio’s Spirit Lords, which also was recently shuttered.

A in-game notice shared by Coffee With Kenobi on Twitter reads:

Dear Player, Despite the best efforts of our team here at Kabam, unfortunately, Star Wars: Uprising will soon be decommissioned. On November 17th, 2016, all Star Wars: Uprising servers will be shutting down permanently. As part of this shut down we will be discontinuing down payments on November 17th, 2016 to prevent additional payments from occurring. We hope enjoyed Star Wars: Uprising, and would like to invite you to check out Kabam’s other mobile games, listed below. Finally, we would just like to again thank you for your commitment to Star Wars: Uprising. We hope to see you again soon! Sincerely, The Kabam Team

According to Kabam, Uprising is shutting down because “the game is no longer achieving the level of success needed to maintain the game and the decision was made to discontinue support.”

Uprising launched in the summer of 2015 and was set just after Return of the Jedi. An RPG, players began as a smuggler on the run from the Empire. The events in Uprising are considered canon. According to Wookiepedia, it was also the first mobile game set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

Kabam posted a FAQs thread on their official forums to answer common questions.

Good riddance! Star Wars Uprising was just a grind fest fueled by micro transactions. The story wasn’t anything to write home about either. I like seeing canon Star Wars stories, but I think LucasFilm may be taking things too far in that direction when we have garbage titles like SW Uprising that are considered canon too. Hopefully this will teach developers a lesson, you can’t release a sub par, micro transaction riddled product and expect it to be successful just because you slap the Star Wars name on it.
