Designer says Galaxy of Heroes isn’t going anywhere

Over on the subreddit for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a user brought up their concern over the fact that Disney is shuttering some of their video games.

Games specifically mentioned by the user as being shut down were Marvel Avengers Alliance 2 and Disney Infinity. Like Galaxy of Heroes, Marvel Avengers Alliance 2 is a mobile game, while Disney Infinity was sandbox game revolving around physical toys.

Marvels Avengers Alliance 2 will cease to exist at the end of this month and Disney previously announced in May that they were dropping support of Infinity.

However, Galaxy of Heroes’ event designer Capgasp responded to the user’s qualms by saying, “Commenting on high-level corporate things is a minefield. So I’ll just say those games are not EA games. We’re not going anywhere.”

While it’s not a surprising response, it’s still good to hear that games like Galaxy of Heroes will be here to stay for a while.
